At this year`s NAMM show, Canada is getting a special treatment with several exclusive models made just for Canadian market. Exclusive and vintage-styled SSC-OM35-15 is one of them. With the price tag of $4,699, it ranks among the intermediately expensive Martin steel-stringers (though primarily a home of utterly expensive and exclusive acoustics and acoustic-electrics, C. F. Martin catalog also features very affordable, stripped down beginner guitars). This is a non-cutaway 000 guitar with 15" wide lower bout and 14th fret neck joint. Back and the sides of the body are made of solid cherry with flamed maple wedge jammed in between two cherry wings on the back panel (sides are completely made of flamed maple). Top is, however made of solid Adirondack spruce and features the grained ivoroid binding. Black teardrop pickguard, multiple rosette and an ebony bridge are also found on the top. Mahogany neck rocks the modified version of the legendary low oval profile and the classic 14th fret joint. Bound ebony fingerboard has a set of 20 frets decorated and marked with a set of vintage-styled snowflake inlays. Bone string nut, 25-2/5" scale, open-gear Butterbean tuners and bone nut complete the specs list for this Canada bound 000.
