Nostalgia 50 S is the basic Nostalgia model with mark 50 on it. It comes with a classic dreadnought shaped body with non-cutaway design. This model is available only in basic natural color with gloss finish. There are no electronics installed on this model, as Michael Kelly luthiers opted to keep this one fully acoustic. Back and side panels are made of combination of rosewood and mahogany for the back and sides, with spruce being the material of choice for the top panel. Top is bound in white binding and decorated with a triple circle rosette. Tortoise shell pickguard is also installed. Bridge is made of ebony and it comes with a regular belly shape. Mahogany neck on this model is topped with a 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
