Though concentrated heavily on the acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars, Recording King also has a segment of the traditional lapsteel guitars. Currently, there are two models on it`s roster and RG-31 is one of them. This marvel comes with a solid and non-cutaway body made of mahogany wings and mahogany neck running through it. This guarantees a strong, warm and very bold tone. Fixed bridge with fixed saddles and top-load construction is installed on a plain and simple top. In it`s front, there is only one pickup, a bridge-positioned P-90 single-coil. It`s controls unit is made up of one volume and one tone knob. Mahogany neck has the thick square contour in the back, which would be almost impossible to play standing up, but levels the guitar`s neck perfectly when laying in player`s lap. On it`s top, there is a 26-fret fingerboard made of maple.
