Grant Lee Phillips GLP-1 is the second signature acoustic model in Schecter`s catalog and it comes just in time for the 2012 season. Schecter`s acoustic`s department is currently in the phase of rapid growth, and more signature models, as well as standard series are expected. Grant Lee Phillips GLP-1 is a concert sized six-string acoustic guitar. This non-cutaway flat top model is made entirely of mahogany with abalone binding around the top. As Schecter`s tradition proposes, there are no pickguards on this model, either. The only color option available for this signature is natural with gloss finish. The bridge on this model has a belly shape and is made of rosewood. It features white pins and white TUSQ saddle. The electronics department is occupied by under-saddle Fishman Matrix Infinity pickup and Fishman Matrix Infinity preamp with on-board controls. The controls are made up of volume and tone controls placed within the body cavity. The neck is made of mahogany and equipped with dovetail joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood with 20 frets and abalone & pearl star inlays. Other features on this acoustic-electric signature include: nickel plated hardware, 25-2/5" scale and Grover vintage styled tuners.
