Mandolin Acoustic-Electric Guitars by Seagull Guitars
S8 Mandolin Burnt Umber is one of three currently available mandolin models made by Seagull Guitars. The series has two fully acoustic models and one acoustic-electric model. The super-affordable trio is, together with the rest of the Seagull catalog, made in the town of La Patrie (Quebec), by local luthiers and of locally sourced tonewoods. S8 Mandolin Burnt Umber comes in with a quite originally shaped body (non-cutaway, made of maple back & sides, solid spruce top), 14th fret neck joint (w/sculpted heel), stock hardware, and vintage/modern styling. Burnt Umber (w/semi-gloss finish, teardrop pickguard, gold-plated hardware) is the only available color option. Other notable features include a maple neck, 22-fret fingerboard (1.19" string nut, 13.88" scale, dot inlays), wooden bridge (unspecified material), and mandolin tuners.
