SD50CE is an acoustic-electric variant of the SD50 model and it also comes with the cutaway. Remaining in the affordable zone, Silvertone upgrades the SD50 into an acoustic-electric, giving it Clearwave 10 eq system. Body of this model is made of mahogany and spruce. Mahogany is used for the back and side panels, while the top is made of spruce. This is one of the most common and most popular combos for steel-stringed guitars. It gives big tone with strong low end, which is perfect for players who use picks and who play rhythm a lot. This body is paired with a standard mahogany neck through a 14th fret dovetail joint. This further solidifies the tone of SD50CE. Neck is topped with a 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.

I have 4 guitars and each with a unique sound; however, my Silvertone, is smooth like-butter and sounds great! For the price, it delivers much sound and it is comfy to play - pick it up and strum!!
