John Hiatt J-45 is a model from Gibson`s Round Shoulder series and it sports a slope-shoulder dreadnought contour with non-cutaway construction. This signature dread comes with back and sides made of solid mahogany wood, while the top is made of spruce. Top panel, or the sound board, is equipped with creme binding, plastic pickguard and double circle rosette. It is finished in high gloss polish. Rosewood is the material of choice for the belly-shaped bridge on John Hiatt J-45. Electronics section on this dreadnought is made up of an under-saddle piezo-electric pickup with a following preamp. Neck is made of mahogany, which is a brand`s standard, and it`s topped with a rosewood fingerboard. It has 20 frets with dot inlays.
