Takamine has a tradition of annually releasing a limited edition model, or sometimes an entire series. Fingerboard inlays pattern and exact color are completely unique for each model. 2011 brought NEX shaped model with a single cutaway construction and striking glossy blue color. Back and sides are made of mahogany and the top is made of spruce. It is decorated with flower inlays and complementary rosette. The bridge on this model is made of rosewood. It features belly shape and bone saddle. Electronics include Cool Tube preamp and Palathetic pickup, both made and developed by Takamine. Neck on this model is made of mahogany and it features a dovetail joint. Rosewood fingerboard has 20 frets with unique goldfish inlays. Gold plated hardware, 1-11/16" wide string nut and gloss finish wrap the specs list.
