EG340DLX is one of the finest G dreadnoughts ever produced with a set of high grade features and materials. This model, along with other two reinforces the G Dreadnought lines for 2012. EG340DLX is a serious contender to become a true Takamine classic with it`s blend of quality and affordability. It starts off with a cutaway dreadnought body made of flamed mahogany back and sides and a solid Bearclaw spruce top. Multiple layers of abalone and creme bindings adorn the top, along with a teardrop shaped pickguard. Natural gloss is the only color available for this model. The bridge is, as G Series standard is, made of rosewood and given a belly shape with white string pins and white plastic saddle. Amplification of this dreadnought is done through an under-saddle piezo pickup and TP4T preamp combo. Preamp`s control panel is mounted on the shoulder of the guitar and features three-band equalizer, gain knob and a chromatic tuner with LED display. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and equipped with 20 frets and a set of dot position inlays. Gold plated tuners and 1.75" nut width complete the specs. The MSRP for EG340DLX is set at $999.99.
