NEX shape is very similar to the jumbo, basically it can be considered the same. NEX was made by Takamine when they took a regular jumbo and altered it slightly. EG455SC is one such model and it`s situated within the Takamine`s G series of NEX models. Back and sides are made of maple, while the top is made of spruce. This single-cutaway acoustic is equipped with rosewood binding, gloss finish and teardrop-shaped tortoise shell pickguard. Sound board is decorated with a single circle rosette. Bridge section on this model features a belly-shaped bridge made of rosewood. This bridge features white string pins and plastic saddle. Fingerboard on EG455SC NEX is made of rosewood and it comes with 20 frets, dot position inlays and 1-11/16" wide string nut.
