Twelve-string concept is an old one, but every new twelve-stringer is a story for itself and a huge task. Takamine has a considerable number of models with twelve strings, in both the Pro and G series. This particular comes from the Jumbo line of G series. It is a single-cut jumbo with acoustic-electric construction. Preamp installed on this model is TK40, Takamine`s budget variant and probably the most widely spread preamp. There are natural and black-clad EG523SC 12 variants and both come with gloss finish. Body of this model is made of maple back and sides with spruce sound board. Abalone binding, tortoise shell pickguard and single circle abalone rosette decorate the top. Both the belly-contoured bridge and 20-fret fingerboard are made of rosewood. Hardware on this one is plated in gold.
