Takamine`s G segment is dedicated to the production of affordable acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars. Affordable classical guitars are also settled in this segment of the catalog. For 2014, Takamine is reconstructing the Classical series with six new models. They`re affordable, very nicely designed and very well built. GC5-NAT is the top model of the series and it comes with a standard classical acoustic body made of rosewood back and sides with a solid spruce sound board on top. GC5 is decorated subtly and with style with thin black binding around the top and a mosaic rosette around the sound board. Natural color scheme of this model is finished in gloss and complemented with gold hardware. On the top of the body, Takamine installs a standard rosewood bridge with a compensated synthetic bone saddle. Neck on this one is made of mahogany and features series standard characteristics: 12th fret dovetail joint, standard classical contour in the back, 2" width at the nut and a 19-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top. The MSRP for this six-stringer is set at %434.99.
