Takamine`s G70 series is a line of intermediate acoustic-electric guitars. Their main purpose and goal is to offer the amateurs, semi-professional and professional players the perfect practice and rehearsal companion. The accent on these models is on the quality and practicality. However, the looks on these models haven`t been neglected, as all of the models featured in this line have the classic subtle elegant styling, characteristic of Takamine catalog. GN71CE is a new model introduced for the spring of 2014. It comes with a single-cut NEX body made of rosewood and spruce. Laminated rosewood back and sides are accompanied by a solid spruce top. This type of construction is now very popular in the $700-$1000 range, as it offers the richness of the tone, while keeping the price well within the reach of a casual player. Bridge on the top is also made of rosewood. It features a split saddle, as well. Takamine TK-40D preamp is mounted onto the side of the body, featuring a tuner and volume and tone controls. Mahogany neck is attached at the 14th fret and is topped with a standard 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Gold-plated tuners complete the specs list.
