GY93 is a model from the affordable G90 series found in the G side of the Takamine catalog. This series offers fantastic quality/price ratio and is one of the best options in under $1,000 category on the market. GY93 is one of six models in this series and it features a non-cutaway parlor-sized body made of rosewood and quilt maple back and sides with spruce sound board. Back of the body is made of two pieces of rosewood and one piece of quilt maple. There are no electronics installed, for this model is completely acoustic. Bridge on the top is made of rosewood and it features belly contour. Standard-shaped mahogany neck is topped with a regular 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. It has abalone dot inlays and 1-11/16" wide synthetic bone nut.
