In order to celebrate fifty one years in business, Takamine have made two Limited Edition models, LTD2013 SE Peak and LTD2013 Peak. These two will only be made in fifty one copies, ensuring the ultimate exclusivity to their owners. These models represent the finest Takamine can make at this point in time, the peak of their fifty one year experience. These two are made of the finest materials and best hardware Takamine has to offer. LTD2013 SE Peak is one of two anniversary models and it comes with a non-cutaway "New Yorker" parlor body. It features 24-4/5" scale and standard depth of the body. Body is made of solid Hawaiian koa back and sides and solid Bearclaw spruce sound board on top. Natural wood binding around the top and maple burl/cocobolo rosette around the sound hole give this model a note of elegance. Bridge on top of the body is made of rosewood and it sports the standard contour. In the electronics area Takamine installs their own palathetic pickup in combination with the modern TLD preamp. Neck is made of mahogany and it features 12th fret dovetail joint. 20-fret ebony fingerboard is marked with "Climber" inlays in order to represent constant improvement of quality.
