Pro Series 3 Acoustic-Electric Guitars by Takamine
takamine`s double series update brings forth the Pros Series 1 and Pro Series 3 models. Pro Series 1 models are basic ones, while the Pro Series 3 guitars represent upgraded variants. Basically, they share the same specs lists, with very few differences. Some of the most obvious are gold-plated tuners and lack of the pickguard on series 3. Other than that, pretty much everything is same. P3D is the opening model of the Pro Series 3 and it comes with a non-cutaway variant of the dreadnought body contour. Scalloped X bracing is featured "under the hood". Body is made of sapele back and sides and cedar sound board on top. Pro Series 3 models are entirely finished in satin. Also, there`s multi-ply binding and concentric circle rosettes. Bridge section on P3D is a standard one and it sports a rosewood-made bridge with split bone saddle and black string pins. Electronics department is a standard one, it`s equipped with Palathetic pickup and CT4B II preamp. Preamp has a three-band equalizer. African mahogany neck is attached to the body with a 14th fret dovetail joint. Rosewood fingerboard has 20 frets with dot position inlays and bone nut.
