P3DC is basically the same model as P3D, with the Venetian cutaway being the biggest difference between them. Other than that, these two are the same. Same number of strings, same materials, hardware plating and body finish. P3DC is a single cutaway dreadnought guitar with scalloped X bracing and dovetail neck joint construction. Tone woods used for the body of this guitar are the same as on all other Pro Series 3 models, sapele in the back and in the sides with cedar on top. Multi-ply binding is accompanied by a double circle rosette. Finish applied over the natural color of the wood is satin. Opposed to that Pro Series 1 had combined gloss on top and satin on the rest of the body. Bridge section on this dread is equipped with a regular rosewood-made bridge with split bone saddle. Electronics installed on Takamine models is predominantly made by Takamine. That is the case with Pro Series 3 models. Palathetic pickup is combined with CT4B II preamp, which features three-band equalizer. African mahogany is used for the standard neck. Dovetail joint is positioned at the 14th fret and on top Takamine installs rosewood fingerboard. 20 frets, dot inlays and bone nut are featured on it. Gold-plated tuners are featured on the headstock.
