P5J belongs to the Pro Series 5 line of Takamine`s Pro Series range. It is one of two jumbo-shaped guitars in the lineup, the other one comes with a cutaway while this one features a non-cutaway body. P5J comes with a non-cutaway jumbo body made of rosewood and spruce. Solid rosewood back, laminated sides and solid spruce sound board comprise the conservatively styled body (all Pro Series models have conservative elegant styling). Mahogany neck is fitted with asymmetric profile in the back and a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. Electronics department features the now famous Palathetic pickup/CoolTube preamp pairing. It has been tested and proven on countless models before P5J and it delivered pure awesomeness each time. Gold-plated tuner and rosewood fingerboard complete the list of major features.
