500 Series Acoustic-Electric Guitars by Taylor
526 is a brand new model from the 500 series of acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars made by California-based Taylor Guitars. This series is considered the true intermediate line of the Taylor catalog. Solid tonewood construction, famous Taylor Expression electronics and amplification, Taylor tuners and supreme playability are all there. When compared to the rest of the market, 500 series models are more of high class instruments, but when compared to exclusive Taylor 800 and 900 lines, 500 models rank as intermediate. For the summer 2013, Taylor has introduced five new models with fully acoustic construction and non-cutaway design. These models feature solid mahogany bodies and necks, along with Taylor hardware and ebony fingerboards and bridges. 526 is one of those five guitars and it features the grand symphony contour. Since it is fully acoustic, it comes with a non-cutaway body. Top of the body and the edges of the fingerboard are bound in ivoroid. Single-circle rosette is also made of ivoroid. Ebony bridge is fit with a TUSQ saddle. On the other end of the 25-1/2: scale, ebony fingerboard is fit with a TUSQ saddle. 1.75" wide string nut and Century inlays complete the fingerboard.
