718e-FLTD is one of three acoustic-electric models introduced into the 2014 Fall Limited Edition 700 series. It is one of two grand orchestra models, along with a lone grand auditorium. Series-wide custom features include standard 800 series bracing (improves the strength and sustain of the tone and makes these models suitable for any style of playing), exotic tonewoods and premium hardware and electronics. Body construction of the 718e-FLTD is identical to the other two models in the series, which means solid sassafras back and sides and a solid sitka spruce top in combination with mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard and bridge. Sound board is bound in series standard Indian rosewood and fit with a super elegant rosette around the sound hole. None of three models introduced into the 700 series has a pickguard, nor they feature any other color option, except the glossy natural. Taylor`s Expression system electronics are featured on this model, as well. Standard tropical mahogany neck is attached at the 14th fret, with a 20-fret ebony fingerboard being installed on it`s top. Taylor`s own nickel-plated tuning machines on the headstock complete the specs list. The MSRP is set at $3,978.
