900 series is the pinnacle of Taylor`s regular acoustic range. It features the finest tonewoods, construction features, and hardware the standard range has to offer. 2018 catalog has only one new 900 - the new generation of the popular 914ce. It comes with the brand new V-shaped bracing pattern and armrest bevels, first offered with Builder`s Edition series (BE models also have beveled cutaways). The new 914ce is a single-cut grand auditorium guitar with Indian rosewood back and sides, solid Sitka spruce top, standard 14th fret dovetail neck joint, Taylor`s own Expression 2 electronics system, and deluxe hardware. Natural Gloss is the default color scheme while the Sunburst option costs an additional $300. Other notable features include a mahogany neck, 20-fret ebony fingerboard, fixed ebony bridge, and Taylor tuners.
