414ce-SLTD is one of five models in the new 400 series in the Spring 2014 Limited Editions catalog. 400 series has been the inspiration for Taylor`s luthiers many times in the past and for the Spring 2014, it is chosen once again to grace the Limited Editions catalog. This 400 series is not that much different from the standard one, but it offers more class and more quality, the level which would be expected of the models from a much more expensive series. 416ce-SLTD is a gran auditorium guitar with single cutaway design and standard Taylor construction. It`s back and side panels are made of ovangkol, while the top is made of spruce (this is Taylor`s standard combo for the regular 400 line). Top is bound in white binding and is decorated with a triple circle rosette. Tortoise shell pickguard is also there. Standard ebony bridge is fit with a second generation Taylor Expression System pickup. It is paired with an elegant side-mounted preamp (also made by Taylor). Neck on this model is made of tropical mahogany. It is fit with a 14th fret dovetail joint in the back and a 20-fret ebony fingerboard on the top.
