416ce-SLTD is one of two grand symphony models featured in the brand new Spring Limited Edition 400 series. The other one is series only twelve-stringer, 456ce-SLT model. 416 is fit with all the series standard features and appointments. it includes the tonewood selection, Taylor electronics and the same hardware options as other models. 416 kicks off with a compact and single-cut grand symphony body made of ovangkol back and sides and spruce top. This combination provides a strong and vibrant low end, without compromising the mids and highs. Solid wood used on the models of this series ensures the tone strength and projection. There`s only one color option set for the entire series, Natural with gloss finish and gold hardware. On the top of the marvelous 416ce, Taylor installs the standard ebony-made bridge with micarta saddle and Taylor Expression pickup underneath it. Matching Taylor preamp completes the Expression System. It is mounted on the side of the body, facing the player. Volume and tone controls are found on it. Tropical mahogany neck is attached to the body with a 14th fret dovetail joint. On it`s top, there`s a 20-fret fingerboard made of ebony.
