Koa is exceptional tone wood, beautiful and at the same time possesses outstanding tonal properties. The fact that it is not as available as maple or some other more common tone wood, builds up it`s price and renders it for application on high end models, exclusively. Taylor Guitars like to apply koa to their Limited Edition series` models. GSce-LTD-K is a model from the Koa series of acoustic-electric guitars. It is a single cutaway grand symphony model with Taylor electronics built into the body cavity. Body is made of koa back and sides and spruce top. Bridge is made of ebony and it is a standard one. Neck on this model is made of mahogany and it is topped with a 20-fret fingerboard made of ebony.
