Small Body Acoustic-Electric Guitars by The Loar
Loar`s Small Body series is one of the finest out there in the class of affordable acoustics which draw on vintage, golden age guitars. They owe it to the quality offered for reasonable prices. 2012 saw two great updates of the model line with LO-215 and LO-216. LO-216 is a parlor sized guitar with no cutaways. It`s body is made of mahogany back and sides and a solid spruce top. The top is bound in several layers of ivory. It also features firestripe pickguard and abalone rosette. LO-216 comes in black, natural and sunburst colors. All are finished in gloss. The bridge is, same as on LO-215, made of rosewood with belly shape, white plastic string pins and bone saddle. There are no electronics featured on this model, it is a fully acoustic guitar. The neck is made of mahogany with a thick C contour and dovetail joint at the 12th fret. The fingerboard is made of fingerboard and sports 19 frets with dot position inlays and 1-11/16" wide bone nut. Vintage styled golden tuners and 25-2/5" scale length complete the specs for LO-216. The MSRP is set at $359.99.
