Within it`s acoustic-electric section of the catalog, Washburn maintains a series dedicated solely to banjos. There are several models with B 9 being the introductory model to the series and the most affordable one. It comes with a regularly shaped body made of mahogany with aluminum rim around it. The rim also features an arm rest for the picking hand. Bridge on this model is made of rosewood and it comes paired with a trapezoid tailpiece. Neck on this model is made of maple and it features a set-in joint. Rosewood fingerboard comes with 21 frets and dot position inlays. Die-cast tuners and 25-1/2" scale complete the specs list.
