A1r is a part of Yamaha`s very successful A series which Yamaha planned for to become the best selling line of affordable acoustic-electric guitars in United States. This series currently consists of eight models which offer several body shapes and wood combinations. A1R comes with a dreadnought cutaway shaped body, made of rosewood back and sides with spruce sound board. The top is flat, bound in natural binding and topped with a plastic pickguard. The bridge is made of ebony, and it comes with a belly shape. System 66 Analog preamp is combined with an under-saddle piezo pickup for the top performance of the A1R`s price range. Neck is made of mahogany and it features a dovetail joint. Rosewood fingerboard comes with 20 frets, dot position inlays and 1.69" wide synthetic bone nut.

I was surprised Yamaha was able to produce such a superb guitar and bought it after trying several models from Yamaha,Martin and Taylor and others. There-after my friends listened to my guitpanzer piece and told me that this guitar sound quality was indeed very good and how much I paid for it.
