The famous FG series was the first one to feature a dreadnought-shaped gutiar, back in the late 1960s (FG180 was its name). Fast forward five decades and Yamaha`s dreadnoughts are among the most popular and the best selling steel-string guitars in the world, rivaling the brands from the US (where the dreadnought was created). FG820L is the only currently available left-handed model on the FG series` roster. It offers a non-cutaway dreadnought body (dubbed Traditional Western Body by Yamaha), standard 25-9/16" scale, fully acoustic construction, modern bracing, and traditional styling. There`s only one available color option - Natural (costs $525.00). Other notable features include laminated mahogany back & sides, solid Sitka spruce top, nato neck, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard, fixed rosewood bridge, and die-cast tuners.
