FG is one of Yamaha`s most important acoustic guitar series. It`s been around since the late 1960s (FG180 was the inaugural model) and has retained its status as one of the key members of Yamaha`s acoustic range. FG830 is one of eight currently available FG models (seven standard ones and FG180 50th Anniversary special model). FG830 offers a non-cutaway dreadnought body (rosewood back & sides, spruce top, tortoise pickguard, traditional rosette), 14th fret neck joint, 25-9/16" scale, and stock hardware. Natural, Tobacco Brown Sunburst, and Autumn Burst are listed on Yamaha`s site as the available color options. All three cost $495.00 (MSRP). FG830 also features a nato neck, 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood (1-11/16" nut, 15-3/4" radius), fixed rosewood bridge, and die-cast tuners.
