FS series offers only small-body acoustic guitars with electronics-free bodies and conservative styling. The current roster has four models, ranging from FS800 (the most affordable one at $325.00) to FS850 (the most expensive one at $630.00). As the series` opening model, FS800 is made for beginners adn players who want a reliable backup acosutic. Also, it is the perfect choice for performances around the campfire. Surprisingly, this model`s available only in Natural color (w/gloss finish, tortoise pickguard, chrome-plated hardware), in contrast to the general Yamaha trend where the basic models have the richest color palettes. Other notable features include okume/nato back & sides, spruce soundboard, nato neck, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard (1-11/16" nut, dot inlays), fixed rosewood bridge, and die-cast tuning machines.
