FS820 is one of only four currently available models of the FS series. Like its siblings, this model boasts a small body (dubbed "Small Body Type" on Yamaha`s site), standard scale length (25-9/16"), 14th fret dovetail joint, and stock hardware. Also, like the rest of the FS models, it rocks a completely acoustic construction (electronics-free). The body is a flat-top w/Venetian cutaway; it has mahogany back & sides and a solid spruce soundboard (creme binding, tortoise pickguard, vintage rosette). The color palette has five options - Natural, Ruby Red, Black, Turquoise, and Autumn Burst. All five have the same MSRP - $420.00. Other major features include a nato neck (smooth finish, 3+3 headstock), 20-fret rosewood fingerboard (dot inlays, 1-11/16" nut), fixed rosewood bridge, and die-cast tuners.
