With six models in its ranks, Aria`s Ukulele series competes in beginner and lower intermediate classes. 18-fret fingerboards are standard, as are 15" scales. Mahogany is the most frequently utilized body and neck material, though okume, sapele, nato also appear throughout the roster.
ATU-1 kicks off with a tenor body, made without a cutaway. Also, ATU-1 features no electronics. The body is made of mahogany (back, sides and top), while the neck is made of okume (second most popular neck option in the Ukulele series). The neck is attached at the 14th fret (through a dovetail joint) and has an 18-fret rosewood fingerboard on top (1.37" wide bone nut, dot inlays). Other major features include a fixed rosewood fingerboard and open-geared tuning machines.
