Ukuleles have become considerably popular with mainstream guitar players in recent years. Thus, almost every major brand has introduced their own ukulele models and series. Aria`s range includes six models, five standard ones and one banjo-shaped model. AU-1 is the basic soprano ukulele, made by Aria Guitars. It comes with a soprano-sized mahogany body (back, sides, top) and okume neck. The body features flat top, non-cutaway design and minimalist styling. The neck is attached through a dovetail joint and has a 12-fret rosewood fingerboard on its top. Being the entry level model, AU-1 has no electronics installed on or within the body. Other major features include a fixed rosewood bridge (bone saddle), set of four open-gear tuning machines and Aquila Nylgut strings.
