Jumbo, the biggest one among the standard acoustic body contours is found in several luxurious options throughout the Atkin catalog. Atkin is a small brand from England, but the sheer quality of the build and tone of their quitars is quickly pushing them to the status of the world-wide recognized brand. Their maple series is based on flamed maple, ebony and spruce. Flamed maple is used for the back and side panels of the body, as well as for the top panel binding. Spruce is used for the sound board and prewar scalloped bracing underneath it. regular plain maple is used for the neck on the models from this series, it replaces the standard mahogany. Ebony is used for the belly-shaped bridge and 20-fret fingerboard. Grover tuners are plated in nickel for the Maple Series models.
