Mini R is one of three models of the initial Mini series lineup. Cordoba`s Mini series is not a ukulele series, nor it brings downsized student guitars. No, what`s going on is that Cordoba has decided to bring out a line of travel-sized classical guitars. What this means, is that Cordoba shrinked the body and the scale, but left the neck and fingerboard intact (mostly). Neck and fingerboard (fingerboard is equipped with 18 frets) feel like it is a full-sized guitar, they retain the measurements seen on full-sized guitars. Mini R is a fully acoustic nylon-stringer with a non-cutaway body made of Indian rosewood and solid Sitka spruce. Rosewood back and sides and the spruce sound board, aided by the classic fan bracing, give a huge tone, a lot bigger and louder than what might be expected from such a minute guitar (195mm width, 255mm length and 65/75mm depth). There are no electronics installed on or within the body of this sweet little six-stringer. Mahogany neck features the regular contour for all the classical guitar players, and its topped with an 18-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top. Open-geared tuners with silver and black plating wrap up the specs list. Like the other two Minis, Mini R comes with two tuning options - standard E, or A (ADGCEa).
