2013 is a very special year for the Guild Guitars, it marks the 60th anniversary of this brand. Through highs and lows, success and crisis, Guild has remained one of the brightest stars on the horizon of the guitar industry. To celebrate this big anniversary, Guild has launched the custom shop division at 2013 NAMM show. It features both the acoustic and electric guitar series, but the most important model title goes to the strikingly beautiful and heart-stopping beautiful 60th Anniversary Custom Shop acoustic guitar. It is a fully acoustic orchestra model based upon the acclaimed F-30 model. This one comes with a gorgeous non-cutaway body made entirely of solid Hawaiian koa wood. Body of this model is bound in rich abalone binding and decorated with mother-of-pearl rosette. Bridge is a standard one and made of ebony. Bone saddle is featured on the bridge. There are no electronics installed on 60th Anniversary model. Neck is made of three pieces of mahogany and walnut, which gives a special flavor to the already exquisitely rich and complex tone. Fingerboard on it`s top is made of ebony and it features 20 frets with abalone block position inlays. Waverly tuners are plated in gold and installed in three-a-side pattern.
