Orpheum series is a part of the Guild Custom Shop range, that`s been launched at NAMM 2013. This division deals with only the best and most luxurious guitars from Guild catalog, both acoustic and electric. For now, it has one acoustic and one electric series. Orpheum represents the acoustics, while the representative of the electric segment is named American Patriarch. A total of nine models is found in these two series with score being six to three for Orpheum line. Slope Shoulder 12-Fret Mahogany Dreadnought is one of three dreads in the series and all feature slope-shoulder design. It is a non-cutaway guitar with body made of mahogany back and sides and Adirondack spruce sound board. Top is bound in elegant multi-ply binding and decorated with a tortoise shell pickguard. Bridge section on this model is equipped with a series standard belly-contoured ebony bridge with bone saddle on it`s top. Neck is made of three pieces of wood, two mahogany laminates and one walnut. It is topped with a 20-fret fingerboard made of ebony. Dot inlays, 12" radius and 1.80" bone nut complete the fingerboard. MSRP is set at $4,799.99.
