Guild Guitars are successfully marking the 60th anniversary with a firework of novelties. Electric guitars are being re-introduced into the catalog, Custom Shop division is being launched and ultra-luxurious 60th anniversary acoustic guitar is being introduced. Also, one electric bass is making it`s debut. Custom shop is launched in great style and currently features two series, one acoustic and one electric. Acoustic series is named Orpheum and it features six models in total. Orpheum Mahogany Orchestra is one of them and is also one of two orchestras in the lineup. It features a non-cutaway body made of mahogany back and sides with spruce sound board on top. All tone woods on this orchestra six-stringer are solid and hand picked by Custom Shop`s luthiers. Standard decorations for Orpheum series models include multi-ply binding, tortoise shell pickguard and triple-circle rosette. Bridge section is equipped with a standard belly-contoured bridge made of ebony. It is equipped with a bone saddle on top. Neck is made of mahogany and walnut. Two pieces of mahogany are installed on the sides, with the walnut laminate in the middle. 20-fret ebony fingerboard is made with dot inlays, 1.80" bone nut and 12" radius. The MSRP is set at $4,799.99.
