Hofner`s HF series is equipped with classical acoustic guitars with nylon strings. There are a total of six models and HF16 is an intermediate model of the line. Like all other guitars from this series, HF 16 has a non-cutaway classical body made of bubinga back and sides with spruce sound board on top. Bubinga and spruce combo has depth and strength of bubinga with the snap of the light and versatile spruce top. Top panel on this model is equipped with black binding and classical sound hole rosette. Traditionally, there are no pickguards installed on classical guitars. Bridge is made of rosewood and it comes with a standardized contour. Electronics are also not installed on HF 16. Mahogany-made neck is topped with a regular 19-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
