Artwood range is one of the most popular and sought after ranges of acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars in Ibanez catalog. Also, it is one of the longest running series with Ibanez badge. Over the years, it has diversified into many sub-series to meet as much player`s needs, as possible. For 2014, Ibanez expands the standard Artwood series with many new models and AW450 is one of them. As a majority of models in this series, AW450 is a dreadnought with non-cutaway design and classic construction. Body of this six-stringer is made of mahogany back and sides with cedar top (cedar replaces the traditional spruce on this model to give greater variety and appeal to a wider range of players). Tortoise shell binding and tortoise shell pickguard decorate the glossy top. Back is finished in satin, while the rest of the body and the neck is finished in gloss. Fishman Sonicore pickup and Ibanez AEG-SP2 preamp comprise the electronics. Rosewood bridge with compensated bone saddle and Advantage pins is also featured on this model. Mahogany neck is attached to the body with a 14th fret dovetail joint and is topped with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. Grover tuners wrap the specs list.
