Martin`s guitars are among the top steel stringers in the world and together they form a brand with the biggest legacy and tradition in the world of acoustic guitars. For more than a century and a half, Martin Guitars are on the forefront of the guitar industry and innovation. Summer Namm 2013, however, brings a slight look back with a pair of fantastic vintage guitars. One of them is 000RS1 model situated within the Road series. This affordable six-stringer comes with a non-cutaway 000 body made of solid sapele back, sides and top, a feature hard to find in it`s price category. There is no fancy binding, no luxurious materials of decorations, only bare skin and bones, the essentials needed for the true Martin tone, of which this model is proud. Sound board on this model is equipped with a standard belly-shaped bridge made of black richlite. There`s also the tortoise shell pickguard and series standard single-circle rosette around the sound hole. Beneath the sound board, there is Fishman Sonitone system. Stratabond neck is attached to the body with a 14th fret dovetail joint and topped with a standard black richlite fingerboard equipped with 20 frets. The MSRP for this model is set at $999.
