D-18 P is a dreadnought-shaped guitar from the Standard series of the Martin Guitars catalog. This series offers some of the finest guitars with standard series label in the industry. Solid wood construction and unmatched playability and tone set these guitars apart from anything else on the market. D-18 P comes with mahogany-made back and side panels with spruce sound board on top. modern scalloped X bracing is applied on the inner side of the sound board. This model comes with fully acoustic construction, featuring no pickups or preamp systems. Bridge and fingerboard are made of rosewood. It is a common practice to match these two parts for the sake of consistency of the tone. Neck is made of hardwood and it features artist contour in the back.
