D-21 Special is a part of the Standard series made by Martin Guitars. It is a regular, full-sized dreadnought guitar with fully acoustic construction. Body of this model is made of solid rosewood back and sides with solid spruce sound board on top. Sound board is equipped with modern X bracing pattern on the inside. This type of bracing construction enhances tone projection and strength. Modern tone of this model is accompanied by modern styling. Indian rosewood binding, tortoise shell pickguard and triple circle rosette are featured on the top, along with glossy finish. Modern theme is continued with nickel-plated set of tuning machines on the headstock. Bridge is made of ebony and it`s matched with a 20-fret fingerboard, also made of ebony. Neck is made of hardwood.
