Martin D-45S Authentic 1936 Aged
Authentic Series Acoustic Guitars by Martin
Authentic Series Acoustic Guitars by Martin
D-45S Authentic 1936 Aged is among the most expensive Martin models ever made, as well as among the most expensive acoustic guitars in history (excluding the collector guitars). With a price tag of $64,999, D-45S towers above pretty much anything else that falls into the steel-stringed acoustic guitar category. Main features of this blindingly expensive 45 include solid Brazilian rosewood back & sides, Engelmann bearclaw spruce top (also solid), Vintage Tone System (a system that ages the wood), and hand-engraved tuners. Natural (w/abalone rosette, gold tuners, tortoise pickguard) is the only available color option. Other notable features include a neck made of genuine mahogany (Authentic 1936 profile, vintage 3+3 headstock), a 20-fret ebony fingerboard (25-2/5" scale, 1936 Snowflake inlays, 1-3/4" bone nut), and ebony bridge.
