Baritone guitars bridge the gap between the regular six-stringers with 25-1/2" scales and bass guitars. Baritones start at 27" and still feature six-string construction. Martin`s Standard series is equipped with one baritone, it is Grand J-28LSE model with fully acoustic construction. It comes with a jumbo-shaped body made of rosewood and spruce. Rosewood is used for the back and side panels, while the spruce is used for the sound board and bracing. Top panel is decorated with black binding, black pickguard and standard rosette. Bridge section is equipped with a belly-contoured bridge made of solid ebony. It is equipped with a bone saddle. Hardwood neck is equipped with oval contour in the back and 20-fret fingerboard made of ebony on top.
