Michael Kelly`s acoustic range is made up of nine acoustic-electric models, five modern ones and four traditional ones. The modern side of the lineup is equipped with Michael Kelly-developed offset soundholes and special bracing patterns. Forte Port is one of the modern models. Like the rest of its brethren, it comes with the irregularly-shaped and offset sound hole. Moreover, there`s a second one on the side, facing the player. Core construction features include sapele body (back, sides), solid spruce top (two-piece construction, black binding, no pickguard), mahogany neck (C profile, 14th fret joint), and rosewood fingerboard (20 frets, small dot inlays, 25-1/2" scale, 1-11/16" nut). Main hardware and electronics features include Zero End-Pin bridge, die-cast tuners, and Fishman Sonitone pickup/preamp system (soundhole-mounted controls).
