S40 series belongs to the S range of Parkwood Guitars` catalog. It is the intermediate option, with S60 being located just above and S20 below it. The main feature of the S40 series is the use of laminated back and side panels (S60 models have solid backs) with solid tops. S46 is the series` only amplified model. It an acoustic-electric and sports a single-cut dreadnought body, standard 14th fret neck joint, scalloped X bracing, and elegant Parkwood styling. Like the rest of its stablemates, S46 is available only in Natural color. Main construction features include laminated rosewood back & sides, solid spruce top, mahogany neck and 20-fret rosewood fingerboard (dot inlays, bone nut). Other notable features include a compensated rosewood bridge, die-cast tuners, and Fishman pickup/preamp electronics unit.
