BR-162 is a model from the highly acclaimed Historic series made by Blueridge Guitars. This series is dedicated to acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars with prewar vintage styling. Predominant body contour of this series is 000, the shape that was at it`s peak before the WWII. BR-162 is a 000 guitar with fully acoustic construction. Thus, it comes in a non-cutaway variant. It is made of rosewood, spruce and mahogany. Rosewood sees heavy rotation on this model, as it is used for body back and side panels, belly-contoured bridge and 20-fret fingerboard. Mahogany is only used for the neck, which is made of a single piece of wood and attached to the body with a 12th fret dovetail joint. Only the fingerboard is made of spruce. Hardware on this one is nickel plated.
