BR-243 belongs to the Prewar series of acoustic guitars made by Blueridge Guitars. Blueridge is Saga`s sub-brand dedicated solely to vintage-styled guitars. This Prewar series attempts to recreate the actual construction and appearance of the prewar guitars. BR-243 is one six models currently assigned to this series and it comes with Blueridge`s favorite 000 body. It is made of mahogany, spruce and ebony. mahogany is used for the body back and side panels and the one-piece neck. Spruce is found only on the top of the body, while the ebony has two installments. It is used for the bridge and fingerboard. Fingerboard on this model is equipped with 20 frets, dot inlays and 1-11/16" wide bone nut. Vintage-styled tuning machines are plated in nickel.
