BR-60 comes from the Contemporary series of acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars made by Blueridge Guitars. It is a non-cutaway dreadnought made of laminated mahogany back and side panels and spruce sound board on top. There are no fancy decorations, for this one is intended primarily for beginners. Thus, the MSRP is set at $695. At this price point, Blueridge delivers a very decent looking and sounding dread with white binding, black pickguard and double circle rosette. This body is then paired with a one-piece mahogany neck with low profile in the back. Besides the low profile contour, this neck features 14th fret dovetail joint and a 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Rosewood fingerboard is matched with a rosewood belly-contoured bridge. Tuning machines are plated in gold.
